On the evening of October 1st, I installed Windows 10 Enterprise Preview (64-bit) on my DZ87KLT-75K. The installation began at 10:06pm, and at 10:15pm (9 minutes later), I was customizing my desktop and began installing all of my apps. Less than 9 minutes for the OS install. Not bad.
It is now six hours later. All of my apps are installed, all updates applied, all settings made. I have a spreadsheet of approximately 200 steps, that I have maintained for XP, Vista, W7, W8, W8.1, and now W10. The checklist ensures I do not miss any step, and that I install and setup everything the same way, every time.
I did not encounter any failures. Well, not true. I had previously created a procedure to capture the Windows Experience Index on Windows 8.1: Windows Experience Index for Windows 8.1. My procedure did not work for Windows 10. I will have to investigate that later.
All of the onboard features worked as expected. The graphics driver for the HD 4600 graphics worked as it should. There were no issues with UEFI and Secure Boot.
A very nice experience with a beta (build 9841) on the DZ87KLT-75K board.
