Okay, so I recently bought a DELL XPS 15 (L521x)
At first it was amazing, ran all my games awesome, and more importantly, I could adjust the brightness.
Recently I am now not able to adjust my brightness. I believe it has to do something with the Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver I have installed....Here's why.
If I uninstall my HD GFX 4000 Driver, I can then actually adjust the brightness. Now with the 4000 driver the scroll goes up and down, but the actual screen brightness stays the same. So I uninstall the 4000 GFX driver, but then about a minute later, my screen will flash black a few times, and POOF, the 4000 driver is re installed automatically, and then I can't change the brightness again.
An addition to the brightness problem is that as you can see in [IMAGE 1] that some of my Skype Icons are pixelated, and in [IMAGE 2] that the check marks in my Windows 8 Start Menu, turn up as [] instead.
My second problem is now all of a sudden my computer performance has DRASTICALLY decreased. The FPS has gone down about 50 fps, and even when I render a video, in my instance in Sony Vegas 12, it says it will take about 17 HOURS to render a 10 minute video. A 10 minute video used to take usually 1 hour at MOST.
Please help, this was a very expensive laptop, and I want it to work again! Please!
