Help Identifying the BIOS chipset needed?

Hi guys,

I have a lenovo thinkpad edge 15 laptop that failed bios update near the end of the update, and now it is like in coma;

only LED and CPU fan turn on, nothing else. I tried flashing using the wincrisis.1.0.0.4with usb key but didn't work.

So what I am trying to do next is: 1) try reprogram the bios using a programmer.

                                                       2) replace the on board bios chipset.

What I am looking for is how to identify the bios chipset on the motherboard ?

Intel HM55 63Y2144.

Any help would me much appreciated.
