I'm running Windows 7 x64 on an Asus Z87-Deluxe motherboard, based on the Intel Z87 chipset. The onboard controller is configured in RAID mode, and there are three SATA disks connected: one SSD where the O.S. is installed and two 4-TB disks in a RAID 1 setup.
I've installed the latest RST package (12.8.0.1016) and Windows can properly access and use all disks, but the RST service doesn't run: it's always stopped, and if I try to manually start it, it always crashes; the Application event log shows an error in IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe (NullReferenceException) as the crash cause.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but nothing changed; I've also tried installing two older releases (12.5.0.1066 and 12.0.0.1083), but I still got the same error.
How can I fix this?
