I have run the Diagnostics and it says everything is working fine - no problem with any of the hardware. Some think the problem has to do with RAID. Perhaps the RAID on my computer failed, or something. I would appreciate any comment on my problem. For instance how to go about fixing the RAID problem or whatever issue might be happening with the computer.
FYI: I have not lost anything on the computer yet. The only problem I seem to be experiencing are occasional freezes and slowness.

Intel Driver Update Utility setup failed
Hello,
Yesterday I uninstalled the old version of IDUU, and today I tried to install the newest one (2.7.2), and for some reason, setup fails when it comes to the part where a user should accept or decline Intel product improvement program. I tried to uninstall remnants of the old installation with Revo Unistaller Pro, but that did not help. You can see attached log here. Can someone please help me?
Thunderbolt support for Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016
Why is Intel purposely not allowing Thunderbolt support under Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016? Why? What is the point in not allowing Intel's best direct connection technology to work where its needed the most? There are a growing number of TB3 DAS devices that are fantastic and would be a great addition to a Windows server, but no Intel won't allow that and not for a technical reason either.
Intel is shooting itself in the foot with the way it's handling Thunderbolt and it makes no sense what so ever.

Hello!
Looking for multimedia audio controller ID: PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_24D5 & SUBSYS_82271043 & REV_02 \ 3 & 267 A616A & 0 & FD
Earlier SoundMax was in my opinion version 5 .... The device manager puts realtec, but the sound does not appear and the computer crashes. Tried to find in an Internet, but there are so many different soundmax! Those that downloaded did not fit (sound did not appear or comp). I do not know what sound card is worth, I forgot where to look. In the "System Information" is not found.
Here's what I found:
BIOS version: American Megatrends Inc 0702. 07/13/2006
SMBIOS version: 2.3

*Blue Screen Error_NDIS_DRIVERS/Computer freezing when playing Youtube videos (Please Help)*
So I have been having issues with Blue Screen Errors (of death) for months now. It happens when I watch Youtube videos and after about 30 minutes or so of watching, the Youtube video will freeze but the audio will continue to play for a few more seconds until it, too, stops. Then Google Chrome says the web page is not responding and the whole page will freeze up and when I try to exit out of the window, a pop up comes up and it gives the option of "Wait" or "Cancel. I've tried waiting but it never works and when I click cancel, the whole web page exits out. After that, I cannot open Google Chrome again unless I restart the whole computer. (I've tried closing Google Chrome with Ctrl + Alt + Delete and Task Manager, but it does not seem to help. I still have to restart the computer) On certain occasions, the computer will freeze up so much that I do not get the chance to exit out of Google Chrome before the Blue Screen pops up with a giant sad face emoticon saying the computer had to restart. It says the error code is: BUGCODE_NDIS_DRIVERS.
There are so many drivers on the computer, I didn't know where to begin. So I ended up downloading a program I found online called Driver Reviver by ReviverSoft. It's supposed to scan the computer and tell you all the drivers that are in need of updating. I don't know if the list of drivers (or the software) is legitimate or not but I figured I'd put the list here, maybe it can help somehow.
My Question is, does anyone know how I can fix this issue? I want to be able to watch Youtube videos again without having to worry about my computer exploding. And if you don't know how to fix it, do you know any potential solutions or things to look into? I would GREATLY appreciate it. I have been trying to fix this for several months now. Thanks a lot and God bless your cute little soul for helping a computer failure like me

Intel driver update utility
So, I've been trying to install the intel driver update utility but every time I do I get an error message. 'One or more issues caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues and then retry setup. For more information see the log file. 0x80070643 - Fatal error during installation.'
I'm using a toshiba satellite laptop running windows 10 pro 64-bit with all updates installed. I've tried about 5 or so times to install it but I keep getting this error message. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance.

Intel Driver Update Utility installation corrupted after upgrade to Windows Creators Edition and rollback.
After upgrading to Windows Creators Edition, my multi-monitor setup was changed, apparently "broken".
My Device Manager was displaying 4 "Generic Non-PnP Monitor" devices, which didn't exist before. I could verify these nonexistent monitors are a creation of Intel Graphics Driver on Windows Creators Update Edition.
The desktop extension to my secondary monitor stopped working - it changed to duplicate displays - and I couldn`t use my computer without the secondary screen attached, because the OS was thinking my primary monitor was one of those virtual, nonexistent ones.
I only found similar references about very old "solutions" - basically roll back to a previous driver version, or upgrade to a more recent, compatible version.
I tried updating the driver, by opening Intel Driver Update Utility, it updated itself from version 2.6 to version 2.7 before upgrading the driver. It didn't improve matters.
I tried removing the Non-PnP devices, but they were automatically re-detected and reinstalled. The only way to make them go away was by disabling the Intel Graphics Driver, and running the dedicated GPU, which is not viable for work, because it eats the battery away.
I rolled back my Windows installation to before Windows Creators Edition.
Since then, I couldn't open Intel Driver Udate Utility anymore.
I tried uninstalling it, but it kept looking for a nonexistent chached MSI about IntelProductImprovementProgram.msi. (the irony)
The uninstallation was always cancelled.
I tried to use an app uninstaller, and while it removed the installation entry in the installed apps, and removed some registry entries (iobit Uninstaller portable), but now installation still does not work, trying to uninstall a "previous version" of the same msi, which also does not exist in the local disk.
So the app was not there to be uninstalled, but still has stale accessory .msi information, which block it from being installed.
I should note that I already had the Intel Driver Update Utility installed before, and it worked previously.
From the user's perspective, the problem is clear:
The un/install logic is brittle, prone to breakage.
Windows up/downgrading major versions can remove the cached installation files, and the un/install logic is not capable of downloading updated versions of those .msi from Intel's servers, to be able to complete the un/install procedure.
The installer should be able to download the IntelProductImprovementProgram.msi from Intel's servers, if it is not found in the ProgramData installer cache.
Also, I am trying to remove all traces of the previous installation files, but so far haven't found a full solution.
Intel should also have a KB or script/tool to completely remove all traces of the Intel Driver Update Utility and the bundled installers, so it can be reinstalled in case of corruption.
only one error can spoil the work
I was typing during some days in MS Word 2016, after I saved my data and rebooted my computer. But yesterday I opened my file and I saw - The document name or path is not valid. What to do next, I don’t know and moreover how to recover word file.
Intel Rapid Storage shows event, but I can't see any hard drives. In system report there are two hard drives, but none showing in the graphic window.
I have tried upgrading to several different versions of Rapid Storage.
(Started at 12.6.3.1000, currently at 14.0.0.1143. The most current version (15.2.0.1020) says it won't support my configuration.)
The Current Status shows a yield sign and the following message:
Your system is reporting one or more events, and data may be at risk.
Normally I would click on the picture of the array and either see a failing drive or one that is rebuilding.
My picture only shows the DVD, no array or hard drives.
If a drive is failing or off line, I have no way of knowing which drive it is.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Brad

intel e94315-001
Hi,
I hope this is the correct area to ask this question otherwise please let me know which section I need to go to.
My PC from time-to-time is complaining about the E94315-001 cooling fan please see attachment.
I have had this PC now about for 4-years and 4-months and invariably lately it's complaining about the fan.
When I open up the case indeed as in today when the PC was booted up was HOT.
Is there a periodicity in which the fan needs to be replaced?
The fan looks fine to me but it is infuriating that I cannot find a place to answer me this.
Hoping this Intel forum will help and if there's a diagnostic tool please let me know what it is!!!!!!
Thank you in advance!
Can I update graphic driver when my cpu i5-4460 @3.20GHz is not included ?
I have graphic card HD Graphics 4600, want to update to 15.36.28.4332, but my cpu i5-4460 CPU @3.20GHz is not included in the product(s) listed in the download webpage (under "This download is valid for the product(s) listed below"), please see: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25588/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-15-36-?product=81496
NUC6i7KYK boots, but BIOS is black (but responding to keys). After BIOS upgrade. On 2 separate NUCs...
So I upgrade the BIOS on one of these from 41 to 46 using F7.
Worked ok. Booted, and F2 took me into the visual BIOS.
I then loaded defaults F9, saved and exited F10, rebooted.
Now I get the Intel logo and F2/F7/F10 prompt, but in a slightly lower resolution. Pressing F2 takes me into the BIOS, except I can't see it. However, F9, Y, F10, Y apparently works and reboots the machine, presumably after ensuring everything is at defaults.
Again, though, I cannot see the BIOS after F2. Note that F7 and F10 work fine, they bring up the text menus as expected. In all other respects the machine is functioning correctly. Tried the obvious, turning off/on the TV. Tried both HDMI and DP ports. I don't get *anything* via the DP port, but never have so that's a separate issue.
Interestingly, I repeated the exact same procedure for an identical 6i7KYK with the exact same results.
I also tried downgrading the BIOS from 46 back to 41, but this doesn't help. I still get the Intel launch logo and F2/F7/F10 prompts, in lower resolution than before I did the original 41 -> 46 upgrade, and I still cannot see the BIOS.
It seems as if following the initial 41 -> 46 upgrade, and despite downgrading again, that the NUC can no longer display certain resolutions for the BIOS on this TV.
What are my options, and why has upgraded adding the BIOS done this to these PCs?
Testing of RAID 1 fails. Why?
Hello
ASUS Q170M-C motherboard with Intel Q170 express Chip set.
Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Used BIOS to setup RAID 1.
Installed OS
Device Manager shows Intel Raid 1 Volume
So now the test and the question.
If RAID 1 is truly mirroring the following should work.
Turn off PC
Disconnect SATA 0 SSD drive and Yes the system still boots. So if the drive on SATA 0 fails the system will still boot and run. Good.
Reconnect SATA 0 Drive back in and system still boots with both drives. Good.
Disconnect SATA 1 SSD drive and system DOES NOT boot. NOT GOOD.
Reconnect SATA 1 drive and system does boot. Good.
So currently the mirror only works if SATA 0 drive fails.
Any thoughts?
Also have confirmed that the non booting drive does have all of the data on it.
Thanks
Bill
Thunderbolt 3 firmware versions
Why do different Thunderbolt 3 systems have different firmware versions available? Is this due to different (unstated) Thunderbolt 3 hardware, or just different vendors not providing the latest drivers?
For example, the Thunderbolt 3 of the Intel NUC6i7KYK only offers firmware NVM 18:
Thunderbolt™ 3 Firmware Update Tool Version:18 (Latest)Date:7/15/2016 |
Whereas the Dell XPS 15 9560 Thunderbolt 3 offers firmware NVM 21:
Intel(R) Thunderbolt 3 Firmware UpdateThis package provides the firmware update for Intel Thunderbolt 3 and is supported on Latitude, Precision, and XPS Notebook systems running ... File Name: Intel_TBT3_FW_UPDATE_NVM21_0THFT_A00_3.21.00.008.exe Importance:Optional Description:Windows/DOS (537.33 KB) Release Date:17 Jan 2017 Version:3.21.00.008 ,A00 Last Updated:17 Jan 2017 -- Support for XPS 15 9560 | Dell US
|
What is the difference, and why is there a difference?
Should there be a NVM 21 update for the NUC6i7KYK? If not, why not? Is so, how come it isn't/wouldn't be available?
